| BAGS: Pupils in Reception and Key Stage 1 will need a book bag and P.E. bag. Pupils in Key Stage 2 are encouraged to bring a small rucksack type bag. All bags must be named. | |||||||||||||||||||||

MOBILE PHONES: Pupils must not bring any phones/electronic games/ MP3 players etc. to school. If your child needs amobile phone for walking to/from school this must be kept in the school office. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| HELPERS: We welcome parents/grandparents/residents as regular helpers to the school. All helpers must have a Criminal Records Bureau check. We encourage parents to help in classes other than their own child/ren's. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| SCHOOL DINNERS: £2 per meal. Dinners must be paid for in advance. Cheques payable to NCC. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| PACKED LUNCHES: All children must have a plastic plate on which to set out their well balanced packed lunch. NO sweets, chocolate or fizzy drinks. For ideas on healthy pack ups please visit: www.nutrition.org.uk/lunches/ | |||||||||||||||||||||
| WALK TO SCHOOL: All children will be receiving road safety trainiing in September. If you have to drive your child to school please park AWAY from the school (NOT in Fieldfare Way) and "Park and Stride". All pupils in Queen's Hills are expected to WALK TO SCHOOL. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| BREAKFAST CLUB: From 8 o'clock. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal and toast are available. £1 per child. This club must be booked at least two days in advance - preferably a week in advance. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| HOLIDAYS AND MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS: Holidays during school time are STRONGLY discouraged. Please try to make dental/medical appointments after school/during school holidays. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| CURRICULUM: This term's topic is "Queen's Hills - Let's Celebrate!". We have linked with the Castle Museum and will be looking at the history of Costessey, Norwich and Norfolk and what it means to be part of a community. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| LANGUAGES: As you can tell from the Class names - ALL children will be learning French during the school year. KS2 children are currently learning Latin and the younger children are learning Italian. | |||||||||||||||||||||
